Queen Essira IV of the Golden Veil
Amarmulan, ancient Amarmulan, fabled city of secrets and sorcery! Here the black basalt towers, and the cyclopean theaters, are all etched with the glyphs of the elder ages. Here the archives are filled with lore-tablets of stone and clay, from which dread wisdom may be learned. Here the kings and queens wed brother to sister, so that they may speak with the voice of the Golden Mystery, and the courtier nobles wield potent magics through their service to the throne.Amarmulan, glorious Amarmulan, the loveliest thing ever wrought by the hands of man –
– will fall. This very night. Doom has stretched out its hands for the great city, doom upon doom upon doom upon doom. What can be done, has been done. What can be saved, has been saved. Now there is only the waiting, and the doom.
The Queen is throwing a grand masquerade ball, a final party to celebrate the end of everything that matters. All the royal treasures will be on display. All the cursed grandees of the palace - all the men and women whose magic has become a death sentence - are invited to don their most elegant court clothes and attend. They will dance. They will consume the finest food, the finest wine. They will find what comfort they can in each other, and in the beauty of the moment. And for some of them, perhaps, not everything that can be done has yet been done.
Twilight in Amarmulan is a LARP from Paracelsus Games.
It is about "facing down death, deciding what really matters, negotiating difficult emotional ties under extreme stress, and doing all the things you want to do on your last night alive." This is just one version of the Queen.
"She was a delicate, solemn child who grew into an ethereal, melancholy queen. She has always been much beloved of her people, from the highest to the lowest; for Amarmulan loves beauty, and it loves sorrow even more. And always she has loved them in turn, glorying in the magnificence of the court and the city over which she rules.
Now the cause of her despair has been revealed to all, and the truth of the Golden Curse has been made known. She is more sorrowful than ever before -- and, perhaps, more beautiful."
Queen Essira IV is the scion of the Golden Veil dynasty, the final ruler of a 500-year history. On the day she was crowned, the Mystery from which her line draws it power gave her news of Its judgement -- that her father had betrayed It, that every noble in the city would die some time hence, and that there was nothing to be done. Her son was three -- her daughter just a few months old. They wouldn't be spared. Some twenty-odd years came and went in secret mourning and exhausted efforts. And then one morning, the Golden Mystery communed with her, as It often did, and told her of the impending Doom. One month until the eclipse, when every living person bearing Its blessing would die with the rise of the sun. The Queen called the nobles to court and unburdened herself of that inviolable truth she'd carried for decades. What every character feels and chooses, hours before the eclipse, varies each time the LARP is played.
What never changes, however, is the doom.

Visual reference (lol yes that's me in a costume i made)
Since I haven't gotten any commissions of this character yet, my own photo & drawings will have to suffice for reference! The most important thing to note that's not evident without a close-up photo is the golden eyes. Tear-streak makeup optional.
